My name is Jennifer Hunter, and I am a British artist. I paint in oils on board or canvas. For the last eight years I have been painting full time. I am self taught and hope that my visitors will not judge my work on that criterion, but will see that the desire to express myself is not spoilt by my lack of tuition. My paintings fall into three categories. Fates which depict my sadness at certain things human beings do to each other, feelings, which depict human emotions and relationships, and fantasies, which depict hidden images drawn from natural objects such as trees, rocks, ice, water and deserts. I have been painting full time since I recovered from three major operations, one for cancer and two on my spine which was in a state of near collapse. I love creating pictures and hope that my visitors will see this as they journey through my galleries, and, maybe, will be motivated to buy one so that I may carry on my work. I hope they will inspire, amuse and please you, and I would appreciate any comments you may have at the end of your visit. Enjoy.

I have had three exhibitions in the Farnham Maltings, King Edward's School and Cranleigh's Arts Centre. My seascapes are displayed in the Cutler Galleries in Bournemouth where we have moved to recently. I have works of art in the USA, France, Spain and New Zealand. While I would love to be able to show my work in galleries, the costs prohibit more exhibitions, so I rely on my web site to show my work and hope that it will be seen by as many visitors as possible. If anyone would like further information about any pictures, I would be very happy to answer any emails sent to [email protected].
